Hi, I’m Alex, the founder of ACHBuilds. With over a decade of experience in the building industry, I’ve had the privilege of working on a wide variety of projects and continuously growing my skill set. I started my journey by earning a Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining while working as a labourer. From there, I moved on to running my own painting and plastering business. ... After a while, I realised I wanted to take my career further, so I pursued a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building), with hopes of eventually obtaining my builder’s license. However, I soon realised my structural knowledge was lacking, so I decided to go back to TAFE and complete my carpentry qualification to strengthen my understanding of the craft.
Once I had my carpentry skills in place, I continued my education with a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Site Management) and a Diploma of Building and Construction (Building). In 2021, I attained my Limited Domestic Building License and opened ACHBuilds, initially as a sole trader, which gave me the experience I needed to take the next big step. After three years of building a reputation for quality and reliability, I made the jump to my Unlimited Domestic Building License and restructured the business as a Pty Ltd company.
Through it all, I’ve remained committed to providing high-quality work and transparent service for homeowners. I also spent time as an assistant trainer at the Trade Institute of Victoria, teaching advanced roof pitching and framing techniques, which allowed me to share my knowledge while refining my own skills.
When I’m not on-site, you’ll find me riding motorbikes, camping, attending live music events, or enjoying some gaming downtime.

MITCH

Junior Project Manager

Hi, I’m Mitch – a Junior Project Manager at ACHBuilds with a passion for building and a strong foundation in the construction industry. I’m 33 years old and have spent the last 18 years working across a variety of trades, including plastering, painting, general maintenance, carpentry, rendering, and colour consultation. I started out on the tools as a teenager and have steadily built my skills from the ground up, leading me into my current role in project management. ... To further support my career growth, I’ve completed both the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) and the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating). These qualifications have helped me better understand the technical, regulatory, and financial aspects of construction projects, and allow me to contribute to each build with a practical, informed perspective.
Outside of work, I’m a proud Western Bulldogs supporter and a lifelong AFL fan. I also enjoy gaming in my downtime and make fitness a daily priority by hitting the gym. I believe in hard work, staying grounded, and always being open to learning something new.
