My Story

I’m Alex, the proud owner of ACHBuilds Pty Ltd, and my journey into the building industry has been anything but conventional. It all began when I was a healthcare worker, stuck indoors and battling a severe vitamin D deficiency. My best mate, Mitch, saw my struggle and pulled me into the world of construction, where I started as a labourer for his dad’s painting and plastering business.

As I learned the ropes, I quickly realized that my knowledge of structural elements and building codes was lacking. This sparked a fire in me to pursue further education, leading me to earn my Certificate III in Carpentry, Certificate IV in Building and Construction, and eventually my unlimited domestic building license. My mission? To ensure that every homeowner in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne receives honest, trustworthy, and high-quality building services.

Over the years, I’ve completed 15 projects, specializing in renovations, extensions, and new builds, all while developing a keen eye for detail that I’ve instilled in my team. We utilize a 300-point quality control checklist and world-class project management software to ensure transparency and communication throughout the build process. I believe that building isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s about relationships, trust, and creating spaces where families can thrive.

I’m passionate about weeding out the dodgy contractors who cut corners and compromise on quality. My goal is to be a reputable source of information and building services for Victorian homeowners, ensuring that every project exceeds expectations. When I’m not on-site, you can find me motorbike riding, camping, or enjoying live music.
